Terrorism.
MLK Jr. said that violence is the voice of those not given a voice. When we do it, it is called bravery and righteousness, when others do it, we call it terrorism. Even if we killed all the terrorists in Afghanistan, would that stop terrorism, or would it create more? Is war on terrorism an oxymoron?

In South Africa, after a white minority was pushed out, the new black majority prevailed. Rather than going on a bloodbath to seek revenge, Nelson Mandela's government eschewed violence in favor of talk; they created "the years of reconciliation", to bring people together.

If we are such creative, digitally improved humans, why do we resort to hurting others to achieve our goals?

I don't think peace and force go hand in hand... However, as renowned our education system is, the only solution we have in keeping peace is force.
