just a thought..

Most of my blog topics are based on self identification and its relation to society and people.

Just like any other day, I wake up thinking to myself, who am I? and more curiously... who will i become?

Everyday brings forth a new experience.. and although you can't calculate its beneficial-ity or detrimental-ity , I always refer back to yesterday, to see how it plays out for today.

Well anyways, i was just wondering. If everyone was stripped of his or her status, race, religion, success, and appearance... then how will we identify ourselves with those around us?

So i guess the question that came into thought is, What makes us different? (truly)
Growing up we begin to identify ourselves by comparing what we have and don't have with those around us... we depend on what we see to inform us the person we are.

But, without the apparatus of comparison, who are we?

And i realized, what we are.. or more so, what we are left with.. are our decisions, perceptions, opinions, determination, will, knowledge, thoughts, likes and dislikes.. We are what we have left: our mind.
No one can know what we think, what we tell ourselves to do, what we know..

Although everyone has these traits embedded within them, ultimately it is the measure of these traits that really define the person we are; How much, how little

And as i come to this answer, i am left with another curiosity..
How far will they take me?
How far can i take them?
